The
Islamabad Accountability Court (IAC) has rejected three petitions filed against
Nawaz Sharif's property auction. According to details, Judge Asghar Ali of the
Accountability Court Islamabad delivered a safe verdict on the property auction
applications of PML-N leader and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, in which
the Accountability Court granted all the petitions filed against the property confiscation
auction. Rejected.
It
was informed that the petitions were filed by Ashraf Malik, Aslam Aziz and
Iqbal Barkat which were rejected but other petitions will be heard in the
accountability court on June 16. It may be recalled that the auction of properties
of PML-N President Nawaz Sharif was challenged in the Islamabad High Court.
Various petitions were filed regarding the auction of properties of the former
Prime Minister in Lahore and Sheikhupura. The decision to auction the orchards
has been challenged in the High Court. The petition filed in the court said
that DC Lahore is taking possession of 105 acres of land for auction, lands
have been contracted and huge investments have been made in orchards. The funds
have not been returned yet, the auction is likely to lose my investment.
While
the decision of DC Sheikhupura to fix the bidding date for the auction of
properties was challenged in the Islamabad High Court, here the petitioner
Ashraf Malik is of the view that I have bought 88 kanals of Sheikhupura land
from Nawaz Sharif. Nawaz Sharif has also been paid Rs 75 million, but the sale
deed could not be implemented due to the arrest of Nawaz Sharif. He has
approached the Civil Court to implement the sale deed. However, the Islamabad
High Court in the Toshakhana reference rejected all the petitions of former
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to stop the auction of his property.
