The remaining matches of PSL 6 started with a
thrilling contest, Lahore Qalandars snatched the victory, Islamabad United lost
to Lahore 3 years later. According to the details, Lahore Qalandars defeated
Islamabad United in the 15th match of PSL 6 played in Abu Dhabi and secured the
first position in the points table.
Lahore
Qalandars completed the target of 144 runs on the last ball due to the smoky
batting of Rashid Khan in the last over. Rashid Khan played a key role in the
team's victory by scoring 15 runs in the last over. For Lahore Qalandars,
captain Sohail Akhtar top-scored with 40, while for Islamabad United, Hassan
Ali took two wickets.
This
is the first victory of Lahore Qalandars against Islamabad United in 3 years.
At
the resumption of the sixth season being played in Abu Dhabi, Lahore Qalandars
had invited Islamabad to bat after winning the toss. Islamabad United openers
Colin Monroe and Usman Khawaja started the innings while James Faulkner moved
Monroe in the second over. Rohail Nazir's stay on the wicket was also short and
he became the second victim of Faulkner by scoring only 8 runs while captain
